A session with me is so much more than a business transaction. Once you’ve had a session with me, I consider you a friend forever and will cheer you on long after our time in the studio together.

Your first experience with boudoir can seem intimidating, but I promise in reality it’s as relaxed and low stress as I can make it! Let me walk you through what happens during a session start to finish, and see more of her gorgeous photos while we’re at it!

Self-love isn't something you can find a quick fix for or shortcut your way to the end of. It’s a practice, and as the seasons of our life change, our needs change along with them. It’s an endless discovery of ourselves, and isn’t that beautiful?

The first question that a lot of my clients ask right after booking their session is the age old — “okay Ellie, but what am I going to wear?!” — I’ve totally gotchu. You don’t have to invest in a whole new wardrobe to look stunning in your photos, and I can help you shop your closet first!

During your session, I am not empowering you. I’ll celebrate you and hype you up and remind you how amazing you are just as you are, but your empowerment is all about your autonomy, not what I’m doing behind the camera. You’re in the driver’s seat here.

Celebrations are my jam, and when you book a session to celebrate your birthday (especially when it’s ON your birthday) it’s like fireworks go off in my soul. It’s such a privilege to be able to celebrate milestones with you!

Traditionally, bridal boudoir is very white, very wedding-forward with photos in the bride’s veil, wedding lingerie, and garter, but this babe went a different route. She chose outfits that made her feel most like herself, focusing on her personality, and adding in some details for her husband.

With a quick Google search, you can find heaps of blog posts all about what you need to have the perfect boudoir session, but I can tell you that the only things you need to have a perfect boudoir session are confidence, comfortability, and trust in me.

When I capture you during a session, I want to capture you in your entirety. From the whole picture down to the smallest details - and it just so happens that those smallest details are some of our most-loved photos.

Sometimes I hear boudoir clients talk about doing a session, and reflect on it being a “once in a lifetime” experience. I totally understand that boudoir isn’t something that most people do often - or even every year - but it doesn’t have to be a one time only kind of thing!

In the beginning of 2019, I was right in the middle of closing one chapter and beginning to open the next. Looking back now, I can see that in those beginning stages I was trying too hard to be someone that I’m not - and I’ve since realized how unnecessary that was.
