It’s All in the Details — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer

When I decided in early 2019 that I wanted to book only boudoir on my calendar, I began thinking differently about how I photograph my clients.

I had been shooting boudoir regularly… in addition to senior portraits, personal branding, lifestyle sessions, engagements, branding for small businesses, and so much more. I love shooting things like portraits, but boudoir is where my heart really is, so I decided to niche down and luckily, the transition was super smooth and happened really naturally.

I began marketing boudoir more and more, and built up my client base at the same, steady pace. I hosted a couple rounds of mini sessions to build my boudoir portfolio and get a variety of content for my (at that time) new Instagram account dedicated to boudoir! As I began growing that account, my business began to grow as well.

With new clients came new perspectives, and I began taking more of a storytelling approach when one of my clients and friends requested a detail shot of a new tattoo she had gotten a few weeks before her session. That photo sparked a realization in me that if I was a client, I would want some of those detail shots that told the story of me and my session too. I would want to see the lace of my favorite bodysuit, the way my hair falls down my back, and a shot of my favorite ring. So I started making sure to capture photos like those - the details - and my clients LOVED them! (Especially my brides!)

These detail shots tend to be focused on the little things and tell the story of you and your session. Capturing these little things and focusing on the curves of your body lead to photos that are some of our favorites - and are perfect for hanging on your walls or being a feature spread in your hand-made album. I have no doubt these will be some of your favorite photos, too! Here’s a little taste of some of these gorgeous detail shots; can you just imagine displaying photos like these of yourself in your home?
