Once in a Lifetime? — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Sometimes I hear boudoir clients talk about doing a session, and reflect on it being a “once in a lifetime” experience. I totally understand that boudoir isn’t something that most people do often - or even every year - but it doesn’t have to be a one time only kind of thing! I’m a believer in scheduling a boudoir session whenever you want to, even for every season of life. It’s so important to invest in yourself and take time to do things that make you feel like a badass, and if boudoir does that for you, why would you do it only once?
If it makes you feel good, and you enjoy it, I think you should do a session as often as you can!
In fact, I got some thoughts about this from one of my favorite repeat offenders. This babe has done FOUR boudoir sessions with me so far! (Though I’m sure by the end of this year the number will be higher.) She trusted me from the veryyy beginning when I first started dipping my toes into boudoir, and I’m so thankful she did. She absolutely rocked her first session, and of course she slayed the rest of her sessions too!

It goes without saying that she absolutely rocked this session too. After she got her photos back from that second session, I asked her some questions about her experience so I could pass it along to all of you who are thinking about booking a session, whether it’s your first time or you’re ready for round two!
Why did you choose to invest in a boudoir session?
I wanted to feel confident and empowered and I felt like this would be the perfect way to do that. I’ve done the session once before and LOVED the outcome that when the chance came again, especially with Ellie, I wanted to jump on it!
How did you feel before your session, and what did you do to prepare?
I was slightly nervous. I’m not the most self confident person but I was excited as well. I went shopping for lingerie beforehand and looked at Pinterest and boudoir pages on Instagram for some inspiration!
How did you feel during your session?
I had SO much fun during the session. Ellie made it so easy to relax and have fun and feel confident. By the end I wanted to already book another session and I was so excited to see the end results of this one.
How did you feel after your session?
I felt so excited to see the pictures afterwards and so confident in myself. I love doing these shoots with Ellie because it is a legit confidence boost. I feel like a model, I feel like Beyoncé, I feel like YES GIRL I AM A ROCKSTAR. lol
Which photo from your session was your favorite, and why?
There was one by the window where I was just looking down and smiling. It wasn’t necessarily the sexiest out of all of them and I wasn’t showing off the most. But I felt really pretty in it and it turned out to by my boyfriend’s favorite too. And he now has it as his background in his phone.
Would you recommend a boudoir session to other women?
Hell yes. Honestly I already have!!
What would take the experience to the next level?
The music you played was perfect, all female artists and upbeat. Loved it!! Honestly I can’t think of anything to make it any better. It already is one of my favorite experiences and I would do it again and again!
