Evansville, Indiana Trauma-Informed Boudoir Photographer
“I was so nervous, but Ellie made me feel so confident in front of the camera.”
“My photos made me cry, and my jaw dropped! More than a year later and I still look back smiling, so grateful that I was able to book my session and gain a lot more self confidence than I expected from this sort of thing. Ellie is the absolute best there is. Just book it already!!!”

Boudoir Photography That Celebrates You As You Are
You don't have to wait for a different version of yourself. You matter right now.
Maybe you've been waiting until you lose weight or your skin clears up or you feel more confident to feel like you deserve to have photos like these.
But there isn't a new and improved version of you who's going to arrive one day and suddenly make you deserving of being seen because you already are, as you are right now.
Boudoir Photography for People Who Say They Aren’t Photogenic
You don't have to know what you're doing. That's my job.
You won't walk into my studio and be told to make a sexy face. (Ew, first of all) I'll guide you through the entire experience: demonstrating poses for you, directing your face, explaining what to do with your hands, and reminding you to breathe.
If something feels uncomfortable, we'll change it.
If you need a minute, we'll take a beat.
If you walk in nervous, that's completely normal.
You don't have to perform confidence for me. All you have to do is show up with your outfits and a willingness to work together and trust me, and I promise you’ll leave with some of your new favorite photos of yourself.
What It Means to be Trauma-Informed
To sum it up: your comfort isn’t an afterthought.
Being trauma-informed doesn’t mean your session is clinical or serious. It’s about treating you like a person and it shows up through actions like:
asking before making physical contact (like to adjust your hair)
paying attention to your body language
giving you choices and respecting your boundaries
putting the camera down while you’re getting into poses or adjusting your outfit
maintaining consistent transparent communication throughout your session
giving you space to voice your ideas and desires for your session
And reminding you that you’re always allowed to speak up for yourself, whether that’s to take a break, switch outfits or poses, or to try something else. And I’ll always listen because being photographed should never require giving up your autonomy.
You can say goodbye to feeling awkward in front of the camera
As your go-to photographer, I promise to care just as much about how you feel in front of the camera as I do about how your photos look.
→ I'm Ellie,a trauma-informed boudoir photographer who’s spent years photographing people who didn't think they were "the kind of person" who could do something like this.
And after every session I'm reminded that most people don't need to be told that they’re beautiful, they need to see it for themselves. And that starts with feeling comfortable enough to be yourself in front of the camera.
That's what I'm here for.
““A session with Ellie is an investment that is worth every penny.”
“This is a one of a kind experience. From the moment you inquire about a session you will be met with warmth and kindness. Ellie goes above and beyond every step of the process to make you feel both comfortable and excited. She walks you through every pose, every facial expression, and every negative thought. 10/10 I will be booking another session in the future!”

your questions 🤝 my answers
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel most like you! If you feel good in it, it’s the right choice. I’m happy to help you choose from what’s already in your closet or help you choose new pieces. You can check out my boudoir style guide!
I’m awkward in front of the camera—will you help me pose and tell me what to do?
If I had a dollar for every time I heard “I’m not photogenic,” you wouldn’t be reading this right now, lol. YES, I’ll guide you through the entire shoot so you never feel awkward or unsure. My goal is to help you feel comfy and confident every step of the way, and that includes telling you what to do with your hands.
Where do sessions take place?
These portrait sessions happen in my cozy and historic downtown Evansville studio. We’re located just a block from the riverfront, and 20 minutes from Evansville Regional Airport.
Do you offer payment plans?
Always! They’re done in-house and can take place over a period of up to 6 months. If you’d like to know more about what a payment plan could look like for you, let me know in the message box on the inquiry form!
Are these just for women?
Boudoir sessions are for anyone who wants to celebrate themselves through intentional, authentic photos regardless of gender identity.
Is hair and makeup included?
Hair and makeup is always included in these sessions, typically with our incredible in-house makeup artist!
How much editing do you do?
I keep things real. I’ll edit in my signature style, but will retouch any images you order: including removing spots, scrapes, or scars. But I’ll never change the shape of your body or remove what makes you uniquely you. I believe in delivering photos that you recognize yourself in.
Can I talk to you over the phone before I lock in my session?
Of course!! I love getting to call you before we move forward to answer any of your questions and explain any parts of the experience you want to know more about. You can always schedule a no-pressure connection call to see if we’re a good fit before booking!
How will I receive my photos?
You’ll either receive a downloadable online gallery, a custom layflat album, or both! How you choose to keep your photos is up to you, and something we’ll talk about during your Same Day Image Reveal an hour after your session!
“The idea of being so vulnerable with a near stranger can be intimidating, but Ellie goes out of her way to ensure that the process is not only comfortable, but empowering.”
“From scheduling to album delivery, every step is filled with as much “YAS!” as you can imagine. I was worried I would look at my photos and have imposter syndrome, but instead they were so much a part of me that they made me feel strong in other parts of my life. I cannot recommend a service with Ellie more. I can see myself booking more sessions in the future!”

I’ve Been on the Other Side of the Camera
When I was 21, I did a mini session with a photographer who didn’t have experience with boudoir.
The communication was minimal, and I unexpectedly found myself being photographed by a second person who I didn’t know. Since I was already standing in front of them, I didn’t feel like I could advocate for myself and say that I wasn’t comfortable with that.
The session itself wasn’t much better. The poses came straight from Pinterest (and I wasn’t super comfortable with some of them), props were thrown in because they matched the photographer’s aesthetic, and I was never asked how I felt about any of it.
The photos were fine, but they didn’t feel like mine. I didn't feel like a person who had come to have her photos taken; I felt like a body being used to build someone's portfolio.
And that’s the exact opposite of what I want for my clients.
This experience is a huge reason why I became a trauma-informed photographer, and why the experience I created for you centers around communication, consent, and collaboration.
Because being photographed should feel like an experience you're participating in.
You want photos that feel like an extension of who you are with natural editing that makes you feel like your best self
You’re looking for an experience that feels more like hanging out with a friend than a traditional photoshoot
You believe your boudoir session is an investment in your personal growth as much as it is in beautiful photos
You want a full-service experience with professional guidance through every step of the process, from start to finish
You’re ready to step out of your comfort zone
You’re in the Right Place if…
That’s so normal, and I want to encourage you:
You don't have to feel confident.
You don't have to know what you're doing.
You don’t even have to get new outfits.
All you have to do is decide to say yes to yourself. Confidence isn’t a prerequisite to doing a session; all you have to do is show up.
Still Feeling a Little Nervous?
“The most amazing experiences of my life.”
“Each time I left the studio, I had a newfound sense of my femininity. Truly the best thing I have ever done for myself. I can’t speak more highly of the professionalism, and also how down to Earth Ellie is! Her photos are gorgeous, you won’t get this quality anywhere else. Book with her now!! I promise you won’t regret it. Do it for yourself!”
