Boudoir is the Best Birthday Gift — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Can I tell you one of my favorite reasons why someone decides to book a boudoir session?
I really love when people book just for themselves, like that lights me tf up, but I love it the absolute most when someone books a session to celebrate their birthday. (Especially on their birthday!!) What a privilege it is to be able to celebrate your birthday with you.
If you’ve been here for a minute, you know celebrations are my jam; I love to celebrate any and everything. My love for celebrations started at a young age. Growing up, my aunt would throw parties for me and my friends for our “unbirthday” with cake and gifts and games, it was such a blast. Even now, sometimes I’ll open the mailbox to a little card for my unbirthday. She really taught me the importance of celebrating.
So now when I get the chance to party with my clients, I’m all in. I get so pumped to be my client’s hype woman, especially surrounding significant events in their lives. This babe’s session was a celebration of her birthday, and it was so much fun getting to have her in the studio. It’s the biggest privilege to be trusted to walk alongside you on your self love journey, and to support and cheer you on not only during your session, but long after you’ve received your final photos, too.
Booking a boudoir session isn’t just paying for pretty pictures; it’s a whole experience.
Like a concert, the effects from a session last long after you leave the studio, and long after you receive your photos. Like this babe says, think of a session as pampering yourself. This is a day that is totally and completely all about you. All the focus is on you as we celebrate who you are and whatever season of life you’re in. I can’t wait for you to see some of these gorgeous photos, and read more about what her session meant to her.
Why did you choose to invest in a boudoir session?
My boudoir session was a birthday present to myself. I haven’t always been the most confident (as a woman in society it’s kinda hard to be). Finally, in college I started to realize I had to get out of that mindset of comparing myself to others and putting myself down. It’s been a gradual journey, but I definitely have come a long way when it comes to confidence. So I guess you could say my boudoir session was also to celebrate a milestone of my own
How did you feel before your session, and what did you do to prepare?
I was a little nervous, but mostly super excited. I bought lingerie for my session, which made me feel even more confident and excited beforehand.
What were you most nervous about before your session?
Being awkward! I have never been comfortable in front of the camera so I was worried that would be reflected in my pictures. My boudoir session is the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in front of the camera because Ellie directs you, from your head to your toes!
How did you feel during and after your session?
I felt super comfortable and confident [during my session]! It made me that much more excited to see my pictures. It’s such a good experience and I really recommend treating yourself to a boudoir session.
How did you feel when you received your gallery and saw your images?
I knew I would be happy with them, but I seriously loved them so much. It was ridiculously hard to pick my favorites, which I was not expecting.
What would you say to someone who's unsure about doing a session?
Think of a boudoir session as pampering yourself. It’s a cool experience you can give yourself. I think you’ll be surprised at how confident you feel when you see your pictures.
