This babe wanted to focus on embracing and celebrating her natural beauty – her curly hair, her acne spots, and her body hair – and as we were looking through her photos right after her session, I knew that they were something really special.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, my client and friend Michaela is sharing her experience as a survivor about what she endured and escaped, and the path to reclaiming her body and her life.

Boudoir isn’t something that’s within most people’s comfort zones, but doing a session can lead to more self-love and expanding your comfort zone while learning more about yourself in the process.

“The road to self love isn’t always paved. It takes a conscious effort, and unfortunately boudoir is not an instant fix. You just can’t purchase self love. But seeing others transparency through their journey to self love, as I myself have learned, can be one of the most beneficial experiences in your own journey.”

One of my favorite parts of this work is getting to celebrate so many different people in the studio. It fills my cup so much to have the opportunity to create with you!
