Feeling Comfy in Front of the Camera — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer

On the blog today, we have this absolute *queen* who came in to celebrate herself, and I felt like we were instantly soul sisters. One question I asked her after her session was why she chose *me* to capture her? There are so many amazing boudoir photographers out there, so I love to get feedback on what about me, my style, and my work that stood out to my clients! Reading her answer made my whole day and meant so much to me —

“I had been looking at photographers for a while, but NONE with the backing and trust of so many phenomenal women in and around EVV!”

I know that being in front of the camera can feel a little stressy.

The first piece of advice I give to anyone looking for a boudoir photographer is to choose someone who you feel comfortable with and who you trust! A boudoir session is a big deal, so you want to work with someone who treats it - and who treats you - like a big deal.

It’s important to get to know your photographer before you book with them and make sure you’re a good fit for each other! This is why I offer free clarity calls before booking so you can get answers to any questions you have and we can chat a little bit to see how we feel about working together! If I’m not the one for you, 100% no hard feelings here.

As a trauma-informed boudoir photographer, it’s important to me that you’re empowered with all the tools you need to make the decision that’s best for you, even if that decision isn’t booking with me — though obviously I do love it when you decide that you wanna hang out with me in the studio.

If you’re wondering if I’m the girl for you, we may be a good fit if:
🦋 you like making jokes and goofing off
🦋 you want to build a friendship and not just get a one-off business transaction
🦋 you want to work with someone who genuinely cares about you and your life
🦋 you like trying new things

And I'm sure there's more, but that's just off the top of my head! I don't have my shit together all the time, I often run into the furniture and stumble over my words, and more often than not I get really excited about the art we're creating and have to scream about it a little, lol! (Ask any of my past clients, it’s a chore to keep the little screams inside when I’m stoked about the photos)

But enough about me!! I’m passing the mic to this gorgeous, gorgeous gal so you can hear more about her experience in her own words and see more of her stunning photos!!

What were the biggest questions you had before your session?

Was I going to be confident enough? Would all my insecurities come out?

How did Ellie make you feel throughout the process?

Ellie helped me be the most prepared! She responded to all my emails and last minute Q's. In the actual session, she was the ACTUAL hype woman of the century. I have honestly never felt more comfortable in front of a camera before. and half naked at it! Ellie is the type of woman every one wants to be friends with because of how she validates and accept you.

How has this boudoir experience impacted you?

I feel more confident in my own body.

Was the experience worth the financial investment that you made?

YES! Such a great price for the quality.

What would you say to a friend who's on the fence about doing a session with me?

Talk to her once. All your fears will melt away.
