You Are One-of-a-Kind — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Your session, your photos, your BEING is incomparable. So why would your photos look like anyone else’s?
Too often when we're prepping for a photo session the first thing we do is make a Pinterest board (I do the same thing lol!) — which can be super helpful, don't get me wrong! But I don't love it for boudoir because it often leads to instant comparison when the photos don’t look exactly like the photos on your board. Here’s the thing — your photos won’t look like anyone else’s because they’re YOURS. The energy you bring, your unique personality, and your little quirks are entirely yours. They can’t be replicated!
Here’s an example for you: I have some core poses that I do with just about every client who books a session. The ones that are fan favorites and are consistently some of your favorite images, and that I KNOW everyone will love. But even though those poses get used in almost every session, no two photos are ever the same. Your outfit, your facial expression, your vibe… all of it will be different every time. Even if I photograph YOU in the same location and same pose twice, it won’t be the same photo because you’re always changing and growing. And so am I!
Your session won't be like anyone else's because YOU are unlike anyone else and that’s what makes your photos so special.
Not only that, but I have major beef with Pinterest for boudoir because it’s SO hard to find diverse representation in the photos there. There’s a serious lack of curvy bodies, people of color, and people with different abilities. If you do use Pinterest to collect inspo, I highly encourage you to pin outfits and vibes and make it more of a mood board! I have lots of boards that are dedicated specifically to boudoir — from boards filled with my own photos, hair and makeup, outfit options, and mini mood boards — there’s definitely something there that’s been curated and can be helpful for you as you’re planning!
