Working With You is a Privilege — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Normally when I sit down to write a blog post about a client’s story, I read through what they had to say about their experience and it sparks something within me that I want to share. This time, that didn’t happen.
From the moment I talked to this babe face to face, I felt 100% at home. There’s something about talking to her that makes you feel relaxed and at ease, and as a person with an anxious brain who is always going about a million miles a minute, it was so weird to feel calm. She immediately felt like a friend I had known for years, and we got along so well. From that first call to delivering her album, she was an absolute dream to work with.
I can’t describe her presence as anything other than peaceful and warm, like a hug from your mom.
She has an air about her that is so gentle, comforting, and kind, and that feeling coupled with her complete trust in me to capture these photos of her led to us creating some beautiful photos! Reading what she had to share about her experience in the studio didn’t spark something within me bursting to get out because it just made me feel such deep joy for having the privilege of getting to know her as we worked together. This experience impacted me as much as it did her! Keep on scrolling for some of her beautiful photos and to read more about her experience in the studio and what it meant to her.
Why did you choose to invest in a boudoir session with Eleanor Elaine? My interest was piqued with boudoir when planning my wedding throughout 2018. My goal was to only work with vendors who truly felt a perfect fit for who we were. Although boudoir was something I always found my mind coming back to, I ultimately decided against it at the time. Fast forward a couple years, I had a friend introduce me to Ellie’s work. It did not take me long to decide for myself that I wanted to work with her. She is very unapologetically herself and is extremely talented. Ellie has an undeniable dedication to her clients, her work, and most importantly herself. I say this because Ellie has a way to encourage you to take care of yourself and bring your true authentic self to your session. Hands down my favorite aspect of her work is the way each clients personality radiates through the pictures.
If you went the extra mile and chose to really treat yourself before your session, what did you do and who provided that service? Before my session I chose to visit Katie Braker (@katie.vsg on Instagram) to have my hair color touched up. I visit Katie about every two months in the salon to keep my hair dreams alive. She is a very talented and passionate individual. You will always leave her chair feeling your best self. I also visited Crystal Knapp (@esthetics_with_crystal on Instagram) for routine facials, brow shaping, and lash lifts. Thanks to her I have learned how to better take care of my skin and to find confidence in my natural complexion. Crystal is very passionate about education and is constantly learning to better herself for her clients. My recommendation is to find business owners who are passionate about what they do And that you truly connect with. I always leave these ladies businesses feeling refreshed by good conversation and their attentiveness to their work.
What were the biggest questions you had before your session?I’m a person full of questions. I like to know every aspect of what I have signed up for. But simply the biggest question I had was what should I wear?
How did Ellie make you feel throughout the process?I am a person who wants to be prepared for everything, and to my surprise, Ellie had made that very attainable. Almost every time I found myself with a question the answer was already available to me. It is very clear Ellie actively is building her business with her clients in mind. The resources she has available to her clients is endless and easily accessible. When it came to my session I had everything that I needed and I knew exactly where I was going. I felt so welcomed and my nerves were quickly eased. Ellie asked me again what I had in mind for my session. Once we got started, she physically showed and explained every pose for me. She is very professional and asks every single time before touching your person to make adjustments. I felt confident, safe, and excited to see the final product.
What do you feel like you got out of your boudoir session?I left the studio with a heart full of joy. I had so much fun and left feeling as if I had known her for years. I left that first session was a reminder of how important it is to do the things that bring you happiness. No matter what it is don’t forget to take time for yourself. Have fun.
How has the boudoir experience with Ellie impacted you?It has been a reminder to take care of yourself. To actively seek people and experiences that will leave your life more enriched. Life is too short to spend it wishing you would’ve done something. Celebrate yourself, your life, your body because this is the only one we get.
What would you say to someone who's unsure about doing a session?Do it. If it’s something you want, do it. There are no guidelines to boudoir make it what you want.
