Creating Art with My Clients — Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Throwing it back to one of my favorite sessions captured back in 2019, right in the middle of my first year of business! Working with this babe was so much fun; she’s a creative soul and we were very much on the same page for her session. Working with people like this gem makes me feel so inspired and make my job feel less like work and more like play. It fills my cup so much to have the opportunity to create with you!!
Why did you choose to invest in a boudoir session?
I made it a goal this year to get out of my comfort zone and to try new things. I have always been insecure about my body, so I booked two boudoir photoshoots this fall to embrace being in a "bigger" frame. Upon seeing the photos from both sessions, I was amazed at how much I loved them. It also changed and challenged the distorted view I had of my body. It made me become much more comfortable being in my own body as well.
Why did you choose Eleanor Elaine Photography for your session?
I stumbled upon Ellie's IG page and read a few of her captions and then a few blog posts after that. I really enjoyed the messages she was spreading and the philosophy she had behind her business, so I decided to book a session with her.
How did you feel before your session, and what did you do to prepare?
This was the second boudoir shoot I had done, so I wasn't as nervous as I was for the first one. But, I was still a bit nervous. The couple of days prior to the shoot, I got my nails done, shopped for/picked out lingerie and pieces I thought might compliment them, practiced different eye makeup looks, and lastly, it felt silly, but I practiced different facial expressions and poses in the mirror.
What were you most nervous about before your session?
I was the most nervous about looking awkward in front of the camera, so I practiced facial expressions/poses in the mirror beforehand. But Ellie does a great job at directing and repositioning you to make you look great in front of the camera.
How did you feel during your session?
I felt very comfortable and at ease!
How did you feel after your session?
I felt a new sense of confidence after my session!
What would you say to someone who's unsure about doing a session?
If I were talking my past self into it, I would probably say that although you might be nervous or apprehensive to do it, it's one of the best investments I've made in myself. It's made me feel so much more comfortable in my skin and gain a new appreciation for the things I haven't always been the biggest fan of, like my nose or stomach. It's helped me have a different and more positive relationship with my body.
