One of the things I hear most is that you want to book a session to adventure outside your comfort zone and do something to boost your confidence. Luckily for me, boudoir is the thing that will help you do all of that and more.

Body neutrality is a step on my self-love journey, one that’s teaching me that how I look is the least interesting thing about myself. Self-love is a journey, and I hope to move from a place of neutrality to acceptance, to compassion, to confidence, to uninhibited love.

Let's be real: it can be difficult to be vulnerable. And boudoir can be a super vulnerable experience — mentally, emotionally, and physically. That’s why I’m super intentional about incorporating choice and prioritizing your consent during the process!

Your session, your photos, your BEING is incomparable. So why would your photos look like anyone else’s? Your session won't be like anyone else's because YOU are unlike anyone else and that’s what makes your photos so special.

I know that being in front of the camera can feel a little stressy for any kind of session (but especially boudoir!) so it’s important to choose a photographer who you trust. A boudoir session is a big deal, so you want to work with someone who treats it - and who treats you - like a big deal!

As I read what this beautiful client-friend wrote about how her boudoir experience impacted her, I felt tears welling up in my eyes. As they began to spill over, I got to the section where she told me — I cried as I stroked my hands down the page of this body of mine and said quietly, “this is me, and I am so beautiful.”

So many times in the past my own excuses and negative self talk has held me back and stopped me from doing things I want to do, but this is me promising to do the hard things, to be vulnerable when I feel able to, and to show up and work on myself too.

Our outward beauty isn’t our currency for existing in the world, and in my studio, there’s no beauty fee. You can show up full glam or completely natural, and you’ll be celebrated, supported, and loved equally.

In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, my client and friend Michaela is sharing her experience as a survivor about what she endured and escaped, and the path to reclaiming her body and her life.

“The road to self love isn’t always paved. It takes a conscious effort, and unfortunately boudoir is not an instant fix. You just can’t purchase self love. But seeing others transparency through their journey to self love, as I myself have learned, can be one of the most beneficial experiences in your own journey.”

One of my favorite parts of this work is getting to celebrate so many different people in the studio. It fills my cup so much to have the opportunity to create with you!

This babe has a presence that I can only describe as feeling like a hug from your mom — she’s warm, gentle, and kind. Working with her was a privilege, and one that impacted me as much as it did her.

Boudoir helped me realize that I didn’t have to alter my appearance to be enough, and it made a huge impact on my journey to discovering myself and finding self confidence, and I want that for you too.

Though I want to appreciate my body for what it does for me, at the end of the day my body is just a body. I know for certain that I am enough regardless of what my body looks like. And so are you.

In my years in the boudoir industry, I’ve noticed there’s a misconception that in order to do a boudoir session you have to fit a very narrow profile. In reality, not one of those things is expected of you in my studio.

Giving the gift of a boudoir album to your soon-to-be spouse is one of the most intimate, thoughtful gifts. It’s saying — I love you and I trust you — and isn’t that the foundation a marriage should be built on?
