Think back to your middle school days… Remember how your signature scent made you feel when you put it on and let’s translate that feeling to some lingerie that you could wear for your session!

When this babe booked her session, we had never met before. We had some mutual friends, and in the months leading up to her session we shared drinks and laughs and got to know each other through game nights with those mutual friends (who are also habitual clients of mine!) which was so nice!!

After a couple years of struggling to figure out how I wanted to facilitate the experience, I finally decided to take the leap with offering same day image reveals — and they are amazing!

As I read what this beautiful client-friend wrote about how her boudoir experience impacted her, I felt tears welling up in my eyes. As they began to spill over, I got to the section where she told me — I cried as I stroked my hands down the page of this body of mine and said quietly, “this is me, and I am so beautiful.”

I know that preparing for your session can be overwhelming, which is why I created an extensive prep guide for my clients! Here are some of my best tips for how to prepare the day of your session. I already know you’re gonna rock it!

So many times in the past my own excuses and negative self talk has held me back and stopped me from doing things I want to do, but this is me promising to do the hard things, to be vulnerable when I feel able to, and to show up and work on myself too.

In my years in the boudoir industry, I’ve noticed there’s a misconception that in order to do a boudoir session you have to fit a very narrow profile. In reality, not one of those things is expected of you in my studio.

Giving the gift of a boudoir album to your soon-to-be spouse is one of the most intimate, thoughtful gifts. It’s saying — I love you and I trust you — and isn’t that the foundation a marriage should be built on?

The way that I hold space for you in the studio is very intentional — I do my best to be transparent and collaborate with you during the experience to make space for you to make choices that help you feel empowered in the process.

Though I love boudoir as an intimate gift to your significant other, sessions with me are self-centered first and foremost. My hope is that when you’re booking your own boudoir experience, you’re doing it for you, just like this babe did.

It’s such an honor to be walk beside my clients on their journeys with self confidence and self love, and it lights me up to hear that the people who trust me to capture these photos for them are choosing to do a session for themselves.

The first time I dipped my toes into the world of boudoir on my own, I was surrounded by my very best friends. We spent the day laughing, gossiping, and celebrating each other. I didn’t know it then, but that day has impacted every boudoir session since.

A session with me is so much more than a business transaction. Once you’ve had a session with me, I consider you a friend forever and will cheer you on long after our time in the studio together.
