A Downtown Evansville Elopement – Erika & Andrew

This laid-back couple wanted to celebrate their union in downtown Evansville, Indiana.

So that’s exactly what we did! We started inside the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse, known for it’s stunning architecture. The Old Courthouse and the Coliseum were both built with Indiana limestone, and both are iconic features of the downtown landscape! I loved getting to celebrate the love that Erika and Andrew share while also capturing how beautiful our city is.

These two are so natural together; the type of couple that’s the embodiment of the idea of soulmates. Getting to spend this time with them was so special. Seeing how caring Andrew is towards his wife–brushing her hair behind her ear, lovingly wrapping his arms around her, and always looking towards her like a sunflower looks towards the sun. They have the kind of relationship that fairy tales are written about. And what strikes me the most is how at peace Erika looks when they’re together, how she relaxes into his embrace.

I could cry just thinking about it, lol! They complement each other so perfectly.

The cherry on top of this tres leches cake was finishing our evening with dinner at La Campirana!

The happy couple shared tacos, Mexican coke, and tres leches cake at their favorite spot–and luckily for me, also my favorite restaurant! One of the highlights of our time together for me was sitting outside as the sun set, getting to document them sharing tacos on the curb. When I said they were laid back, I meant it! They are so easy going and really just wanted to celebrate their commitment and dedication to each other, and I’m so thankful that they chose me to capture it in photos.

Their love is one for the books. Here’s to a lifetime spent with your person, a thousand tacos shared, and even more forehead kisses.
