It's beyond creating captivating photos, it's the whole experience.

A boudoir session with me is three hours where you’re the main character: you have no responsibilities, no one to care for besides yourself, and you’re celebrated purely for existing. Your phone lives in your bag, and your only job or responsibility is to exist in front of the camera. More than anything else, your session with me is about YOU. I place super high value on connection — and especially you connecting with yourself. I want this experience to be one that helps you feel more at home with yourself, and I hope when you're in my studio you feel like you can breathe and take up space. There are no expectations, no molds to fill. I want to capture you for who you are.

This experience, beyond being out of most people's comfort zones, is one that you aren't on the receiving end of very often. Even on your birthday the focus isn't entirely on you, right? It's on the meal you're having, who's sitting next to who, what the itinerary is for the night, and when the party is going to start. During your boudoir session with me, nothing is in my brain except how you're feeling, how the light looks on you, how we're going to pose, and the entire time I'm keeping in mind your comfort level and the vibe you're going for.

It's my job to make you feel like you're the only person in the world, because for those few hours in my studio, you are.

And what do those few hours entail? Most of my clients have hesitations about not knowing how to pose, but please know that from head to toe, I’ve got you! Each session includes some tried and true poses that everyone loves and an equal amount of experimentation based off of your vibe, outfits, and personality. First I’ll show you what I want you to look like and explain what I’m doing with every part of my body. Then, we switch places and I’ll help you get into the pose! Part of this is repeating instructions, demonstrating for you while you’re figuring it out, and if you’re okay with it, sometimes moving parts of your body for you so you don’t have to question if you’re doing it right. Then, I’ll always ask if I can adjust your hair and I’ll smooth any flyaways and make sure your locks are laying perfectly before I take any photos!

Then, I’ll back up and frame the shot that I’m envisioning, noting to myself how I want to flow into the next pose, and will make sure the light looks good and my settings are correct. Before I start shooting, I always make sure to let you know that you look perfect! It’s super important to me to be transparent and highly communicative throughout your session so you’re never wondering what I’m doing or what I’m going to do next! I let you know when I’m getting closer or backing up, if your face is in frame or if I’m capturing a detail shot, and as I’m shooting will be giving you encouraging feedback and helping us capture a variety of photos with each pose! While I’m shooting, you’re totally welcome to move your hands or make different facial expressions, but if that just isn’t your style, I’ll give you prompts and tell you where to look and what to do with your hands every step of the way.

When I say I’ve got you, I mean it!

While we’re shooting, over and over I’m thinking about how beautiful you are just existing in front of my camera, and following up your session with your image reveal session an hour after we’re done shooting is the most impactful thing! Showing you the raw, unedited photos gives you the opportunity to see what I see when we’re shooting. It’s super important to me that you see that you don’t need any Photoshop to be gorgeous. We’ll sit together while we look through your photos, and always geek out about how freaking good you look, and then we’ll choose your favorites together while you flip through one of my sample albums and think about how cool it'll be to hold one of your own.

The thing I hear most often after boudoir sessions is that my babes can’t believe how much more confident they feel. By the end of our time together, you have a renewed sense of self-love, walk the world with your head held a little higher, and return to your album time and time again when you need a reminder of how incredible and beautiful you are. Not only do you leave with stunning photos, but you leave with the knowing that you can do things that make you feel vulnerable and come out the other side more confident. And that feeling is priceless.
