Galentine’s Day Party – Evansville Indiana Boudoir Photographer
Last month, I hosted my first ever event alongside one of my best friends, Natalie! We were sitting at her kitchen table co-working one day, and started talking about this idea of hosting a Galentine’s Day party. We dreamed about it for about an hour, thinking about all the things we would want to do and have, and by the end of the convo we looked at each other and were like… why don’t we just do this?
It took us a couple weeks to figure out exactly what we wanted to do, how many people we could host at the studio, how much we wanted to charge for tickets, and allll those kind of logistics. Your girl immediately started a spreadsheet to keep track of all the things and figure out our budget for the event. #ClassicCapricorn
We knew right out of the gate that we wanted this event to be casual. We wanted the focus to be about community and connecting with each other, and didn’t want anyone (ourselves included) feel any pressure to go out and find a new outfit or have to dress up. We just wanted people to show up and have a good time together!
We had a selfie backdrop, an iced coffee bar, time for us all to make self-love vision boards, a journal activity led by Natalie, self guided tarot spreads and oracle cards, and each attendant got to take home a swag bag full of goodies from local women-owned businesses. It was so fun!! Our favorite part of the event was getting to hang out with so many people who we didn’t know beforehand, laughing and creating together. By the end, we were all like, “okay so we’re gonna do this again next month, right?”
